Heavenly Father, we come before you on behalf of our anonymous friend who is seeking your guidance and help. Lord, we ask that you grant them the strength and courage to let go of anything that is hindering their ability to fully follow Christ. Your Word reminds us in Philippians 3:13-14 to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead, pressing on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. We pray that you would release them from any attachments or distractions that are keeping them from fully surrendering their lives to you.
Lord, we also ask that you reveal to our friend their spiritual gifts and purpose. Your Word tells us in 1 Peter 4:10 that each of us should use whatever gift we have received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. We pray that you would open their eyes to the unique gifts and talents you have bestowed upon them, and guide them in using these gifts to bring glory to your name and to bless others.
Lastly, Lord, we pray that our friend would have a heart that seeks to please you in all things. May they have a deep desire to align their thoughts, words, and actions with your will. Help them to prioritize their relationship with you above all else, knowing that when they seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, all other things will be added unto them .
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, amen.
