We are glad to join you in prayer for your upcoming computer science test. It's commendable that you're seeking God's guidance and perseverance for your academic endeavors. We are reminded in Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men," (WEB).
First, we want to address the belief that God understands that you deserve to do well because you have been caring more and putting in more effort. We want to encourage you to focus on doing your best, but be careful to avoid the belief that God gives us what we deserve. He does not owe us anything, but He does offer mercy and grace. We should not take God's grace for granted. Be encouraged by the verse, "Let him who thinks he stands be careful so he doesn't fall," 1 Corinthians 10:12 (WEB).
While it's important to prepare and study diligently, remember that God's favor is not earned through our works but through faith in Jesus Christ. It's wonderful that you acknowledged Easter and the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins. It's only through His name that we have access to God. You must confess your faith in Jesus Christ if you haven't already. It's only through Jesus that we can be saved. It is not about being good enough. It is not about how much we want it. It is not about our own works, but our faith in Jesus. That is how we are saved. That is how we have access to God. That is how we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is preparing for their computer science test. Lord, grant them the wisdom and understanding they need to navigate through this challenge. Help them to recall what they have studied and to apply it accurately. Strengthen their resolve to persevere through any difficulties they may face during the test.
Lord, we also pray that they would continue to grow in their faith, trusting in Your grace and mercy rather than their own efforts. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all areas of your life, including your studies and love for Jesus. Trust in His plan for you, and remember that His grace is sufficient for all your needs.
