We are lifting up Matthew before the throne of grace, asking for God's merciful intervention in his life. Firstly, we want to assure you that you are not alone, and neither is Matthew. God promises in Deuteronomy 31:6, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
In times of fear and loneliness, we can trust that God is always with us, even when we do not feel His presence. We pray that Matthew may experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, and that God's peace will guard his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for Matthew, that he may understand the root cause of his fears and that God's perfect love will cast out all fear. 1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment, and he who fears is not made perfect in love.
This prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and so we want to remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. As it is said in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Matthew in his time of need. We ask that You would surround him with Your love and peace, and remind him that You are always with him. Help Matthew to understand the source of his fears, and give him the wisdom and discernment to overcome them. We pray for the best possible outcome for Matthew, and we ask that Your perfect will be done in his life. Likewise, we encourage Noushaw to trust in You during this difficult time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage both you and Matthew to continue seeking God's face and trusting in Him, knowing that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
