We are truly sorry to hear about the heartache your son ### is experiencing. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for his life.
Firstly, we want to assure you that God is near to the brokenhearted, as it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We can take comfort in knowing that God is close to ### in his time of need.
However, we want to remind you that true happiness and fulfillment come from a right relationship with God, not merely from the presence of good people. As it is written in Colossians 3:1-2, "If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up ### to your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that you comfort his heart and heal his brokenness. Help him to cast his burdens onto you, for you care for him (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, we ask that you bring godly influences into his life, people who will encourage him in his faith and help him grow in his walk with you. But most importantly, Lord, help ### to find his completeness in you. Help him to understand that you are the source of true joy and peace.
If it is your will, Father, we ask that you bring a godly spouse into his life, someone who will complement and strengthen him, and together they may glorify you through their marriage. But Lord, we trust in your timing and your will. Help ### to be patient and to pursue righteousness above all else.
Finally, Lord, we pray that if ### does not already know you personally, that he would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage ### to spend time in God's Word, seeking his face, and growing in his relationship with Jesus. It is our prayer that he finds his identity and purpose in Christ.
