We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing with your son. Let us first assure you that our Heavenly Father is faithful, and He cares deeply for both you and your son. Let us pray together and seek God's will for your family.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in Jeremiah 31:33 (WEB), "But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people." God wants to have a personal relationship with your son, and He can turn your son's heart towards Him.
Let us pray:
"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up Ratselieg's son to Your throne of grace. Lord, we know that You love this young man deeply, and You have a perfect plan for his life. We ask, Lord, that You reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Break down the barriers that are preventing him from communicating with his parents, and help him to open up about what he's going through.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom for Ratselieg and her husband. Help them to navigate this difficult situation with grace and understanding. Guide them in setting boundaries and disciplining their son in a way that reflects Your love and righteousness.
If there is any ungodly influence or addiction in his life, we rebuke it in Jesus' name. We ask for Your forgiveness and Your healing hand upon him. May he find his identity and purpose in You, Lord.
Finally, Lord, we pray for Ratselieg and her husband's peace of mind. Help them not to blame themselves or each other, but to trust in Your sovereignty. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We also want to encourage you to continue being patient and loving towards your son. Remember, God's love is unconditional, and He expects us to love our children in the same way. As it says in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (WEB), "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things."
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it's only through Jesus Christ that we can approach God and be saved. If you have not mentioned His name in your request for prayer, we encourage you to reflect on your personal relationship with Jesus and to teach your son about His saving grace. As it says in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
