We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles your son is facing, but we are grateful that you have reached out for prayer and support. We stand with you in the power of Jesus' name, seeking God's intervention and mercy for your son.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Therefore, we pray to God the Father in Jesus' name.
In such difficult times, we must remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We pray that your son will feel God's presence and be comforted by His love.
We rebuke the spirits of hopelessness, addiction, anxiety, depression, and loneliness that are plaguing your son. These are not from God, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
We pray for your son's deliverance from addiction, that he may find freedom and strength through Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 8:37 WEB: "No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
We ask God to fill your son with a sense of hope and purpose, that he may choose life and believe in the goodness that God has planned for him. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We also pray for you, that God may grant you the strength, wisdom, and patience to support your son during this challenging time. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God, knowing that He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, and loneliness. We ask for Your healing touch upon his life, that You may deliver him from his afflictions and fill him with Your peace and joy.
Father, we rebuke the spirits of hopelessness and suicide that are tormenting him, and we ask that You surround him with Your love and protection. Grant him the strength to choose life and to believe in the future that You have prepared for him.
Lord, we also pray for his family, that You may grant them the wisdom and grace to support him through this difficult time. Help them to be a source of encouragement and comfort, reflecting Your love and compassion.
Father, we ask all these things in Jesus' name.
Amen.
