Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Charles and his son Trae in prayer. Lord, we ask for your guidance, wisdom, clarity, and opportunities for Trae as he navigates his journey towards college and pursuing his passion for basketball.
Father, you know Trae's heart and the talents you have bestowed upon him. We pray that you open doors for him, leading him to the right academic and basketball home in college. Despite the challenges and underappreciation he has faced, we trust in your divine plan for his life. Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." We ask for your favor to be upon Trae, that he may find favor in the eyes of college recruiters and coaches.
Lord, we lift up Trae's high school coach to you. We pray for a change of heart and a recognition of Trae's true value and potential. May any untrue words spoken about Trae be revealed and corrected. We ask for reconciliation and understanding between Trae and his coach, that they may work together harmoniously for Trae's success. Your Word reminds us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." We pray for forgiveness and healing in this relationship.
Specifically, we bring Dallas Baptist University before you, Lord. We ask that you soften the hearts of the decision-makers at the university and remove any misunderstandings or false information that may have hindered Trae's chances. We pray that they see Trae's true value and potential, giving him the opportunity to glorify you through the game of basketball. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We trust in your perfect timing and provision for Trae's future.
Father, we surrender this situation into your hands, knowing that you are in control. We ask for your divine intervention and for your power to be manifested in Trae's college and basketball journey. May your will be done, and may Trae's life be a testimony to your faithfulness and grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
