Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my son Tim who is incarcerated for the last 5 years (of a 10 year sentence for a non violent crime) in Osaka Japan. He is the 44 year old father of 3 children in Canada who need him. He has an enlarged heart (from surgery when he was 21) and has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease though they will not treat a "criminal" in Japanese prisons. The rules there are in the hundreds, and guards can punish you if you look at them, wipe sweat from your brow, speak to other prisoners when at work (6 days) in the factory. Tim has lost 55 of his 165lbs since being there so is painfully skinny and can only eat rice because the other food is too salty for his kidney condition. He also suffers every winter from frost bite to his hands and feet because the prison is not heated and they give no extra clothing or blankets in winter. The summers are dreadfully hot.
PLEASE will you pray for this miracle for him. That he will feel, (every winter he is there) that the Lord is hugging him in bed as he sleeps, that his spine, hands and feet are warm, that the food will be filling and give him all the nutrition he needs.
Tim has come to the Lord there in prison and though he longs to come home to Canada accepts that he can and must wait on the Lord's timing. There is an international agreement which he applied for, that if both countries agreed he could come home to finish his sentence. He applied almost 2 years ago and our country is the one that has said no to this point. I of course, as his mom have found this whole experience to be very difficult but again, the Lord is working on me to trust Him to, so God does take the apparent bad and turn it to good for those of us who are called according to His purposes... Thank you
Ellie
