We are deeply concerned for your son Joseph and the struggles he is facing with his health and drug addiction. Firstly, we want to remind you that our help comes from the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for Joseph's life. Lord, we ask that You touch him, from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet. Wash him clean with the precious blood of Jesus, and deliver him from the bondage of drug addiction. We know that if the Son makes him free, he will be free indeed (John 8:36, WEB). Lord, restore his health, heal his body, and give him a sound mind. Surround him with godly influences and bring people into his life that will speak Your truth and life into him. Give his family the wisdom and strength to support and guide him in love and truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue standing on God's promises for Joseph. Remember, Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7, WEB). Keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking on behalf of your son.
Also, it is crucial to remember that God desires holiness and freedom for Joseph. We must rebuke the spirit of addiction and the destructive lifestyle that comes with it. The Bible tells us to "put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts" (Romans 13:14, WEB). Encourage Joseph to seek Christian counseling and support groups that can help him overcome his addiction and live a life pleasing to God.
Lastly, we want to encourage both you and Joseph to meditate on the promise that "God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). Trust in God's faithfulness, and He will make a way for Joseph to overcome his struggles.
