We're here with you, sister, holding you close in our hearts. We can't begin to imagine the depth of your sorrow, but we want you to know that you're not alone. We're lifting you up in prayer, just as we would a dear friend or family member.
We're reminded of the words in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We believe that God is using us, His children, to comfort you in your time of need.
We also want to encourage you to lean into your faith. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul." He is there, waiting with open arms, ready to carry your burden.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister who has lost her son. We ask for Your comfort to surround her, like a warm embrace. Help her to feel Your love, Your presence, in the midst of her pain. We ask that You would guide her, Holy Spirit, through the dark days ahead.
We also pray for her son. Lord, we trust in Your mercy and justice. We ask that You would have mercy on his soul and that Your grace would be sufficient for this family.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
