We understand the deep concern and love you have for your son, Faymay. Let us come together and lift him up in prayer, seeking God's intervention in his life.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that God is the ultimate source of help and healing. As it is written in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB), "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." We must pray for your son to turn his heart towards God, seeking His face and His help.
We also know that God can protect and guide your son, even in his current situation. Psalm 91:1-2 (WEB) tells us, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" We pray that God will be your son's refuge and fortress, keeping him safe even as he is on the streets.
However, we must also acknowledge that your son has a responsibility to seek help and turn away from his addiction. Proverbs 28:13 (WEB) warns us, "He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." We pray that your son will confess his struggle and renounce his addiction, seeking the mercy and help that God so freely gives.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Faymay's son to You. Lord, You know the struggle he is facing, the addiction that has taken hold of his life. We ask that You would intervene, God. Keep him safe on the streets, guide his steps, and lead him to a place where he can find help.
Lord, we also pray for his heart. Soften it, God. Help him to see his need for You, his need for help. Give him the strength and courage to confess his struggle and seek help.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Faymay, continue to stand steadfast in prayer for your son. Trust that God is at work, even when you can't see it. And remember, it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Trust in Him, and keep praying.
