We pray that your son will be encouraged and find his value in Christ, knowing that God sees his hard work and dedication. We ask that the Lord will grant him favor in the eyes of those who make these decisions, and if it is according to His will, that your son will be selected as captain.
However, we must also pray for his heart to be prepared for any outcome, trusting that God has a purpose and a plan in both achievement and disappointment. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us also ensure that we are approaching God in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
