As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
We must also address the biblical role of the father and the importance of his spiritual leadership. If the father is not actively involved in leading the son to Christ, it is crucial to pray for his spiritual renewal as well. We come before You today, lifting up this mother's heartfelt cry for her son. Lord, we know that You desire for all to come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. We ask, Father, that You would touch this young man's heart and draw him to Yourself. Break the chains of addiction in his life, and give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness.
Lord, we also pray for the father. If he is not walking in Your ways, we ask that You would bring conviction upon his heart and draw him to Yourself. Help him to rise up as a godly leader in his home, guiding his son in the path of righteousness.
Lord, we ask that You would give this mother the wisdom and strength she needs to stand in the gap for her son. Help her to be a light that guides him to You.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear mother, by the promise in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up." Trust in the Lord, and do not give up on your son. Continue to pray, continue to stand in the gap, and continue to trust in the Lord.
