Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts heavy yet full of hope, lifting up Pethreth's son, Alston, who is struggling with drug addiction and is now incarcerated. Lord, Your Word says in Isaiah 61:1 that You have come to "bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners." We ask that You touch Alston with Your healing hand, breaking the chains of addiction and filling him with Your grace and strength.
Lord, we pray for Alston's repentance and forgiveness. Your Word in 1 John 1:9 tells us, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." May Alston come to a place of true repentance, humility, and total surrender to You, Lord. Let Your Holy Spirit work in his heart, bringing him back to the path of righteousness.
As Alston faces his court dates on the 22nd and 24th, we ask for Your divine favor and the closure of his case. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us that "The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes." Guide the hearts of those in authority, and let Your justice and mercy prevail.
We also lift up Pethreth's husband, asking for deliverance from alcohol and cigarettes. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, Your Word assures us that "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear." Provide the strength and support needed for Pethreth's husband to overcome these struggles.
Finally, Lord, we pray for the restoration of peace and unity in Pethreth's family. Your Word in Philippians 4:7 promises, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." May Your peace cover this family, bringing harmony and healing to their relationships.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, believing that You are working all things together for good.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
