We understand that you've been struggling with social anxiety for quite some time, and it's affecting your ability to relax, spend time with God, and enjoy the company of a new group of friends. First, we want to remind you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. WEB 2 Timothy 1:7
We rebuke the spirit of fear that has been gripping your life. Social anxiety is not from God, and we stand against any dark entity that may be causing this distress. Remember, Jesus has given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way hurt you. WEB Luke 10:19
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with social anxiety. We ask that You remove any spiritual darkness that may be causing this anxiety, and we rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus' name. Lord, please fill them with your perfect love, which casts out all fear. Help them to relax, to enjoy the company of others, and to deepen their relationship with You. Give them the courage to face social interactions knowing that they are accepted and loved by You.
In Jesus' name, we pray for their serenity and peace. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and to focus on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable. Lord, guide them to seek You first, knowing that all other things will be added according to Your will.
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. WEB Philippians 4:8
Father, we also pray for their new friendships. Guide them to form godly relationships that honor You. Help them to communicate with grace, seasoned with salt, knowing how to answer each one correctly.
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. WEB Colossians 4:6
In Jesus' name, we pray for their complete healing and restoration. Help them to trust in You with all their heart, and not to lean on their own understanding. Give them the strength to acknowledge You in all their ways, knowing that You will make their paths straight.
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. WEB Proverbs 3:5-6
Finally, if you have not already, turn to Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him. WEB Ephesians 3:12
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved! WEB Acts 4:12
If you believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
...because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. WEB Romans 10:9-10
