Please pray for my sixteen year old son Andrew who is dealing with severe depression.. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors . Pray that God lifts the depression from him.

Heavenly Father, I thank you that you are a God who gives life.  I thank you that through Jesus Christ, we can have life.  Lord I thank you that the very reason you came was so that we could have life to the full.  I rebuke the spirit of oppression, the spirit of suicide, and the spirit of depression that is at work in the life of Andrew.  Today we claim Andrew for your kingdom in the name of Jesus.  Lord Jesus, I thank you that your light shines in the darkness.  I thank you that just as you have helped me to overcome depression, you will also help Andrew.  Father we know that your heart is breaking for your child Andrew, and we ask that you would intervene in his life.  Only you can heal his hurts, only you can understand him and love him the way he needs to be loved.  I just pray that you would open up his heart and that he would let you in so that the healing may be done.

Lord I also ask for your peace upon his family in this difficult time.  Bless them with grace to deal with all of these struggles, and give them hope and encouragement.  Let them know that there will be victory and there will be breakthrough, because the Lord will never forsake them.  Let them know that the Lord remembers them and that his heart is with them.

I ask all of this in the Mighty and precious name of Jesus, amen.
