We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggle your son Eric is facing. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and guidance in this challenging time. Let us remember the words of Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Before we begin, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Therefore, we will pray to God in Jesus' name, trusting in His power to heal and redeem.
Let us rebuke the spirit of addiction and mental anguish that has taken hold of Eric. As it is written in Galatians 5:1, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and donβt be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." We pray that Eric will find freedom from his bondage to marijuana and the resulting schizophrenia.
**Prayer:**
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Eric to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would have mercy on him and deliver him from the bondage of addiction and mental illness. Help him to accept the treatment that he needs, and give him the strength to overcome his reluctance to seek help.
We pray, Lord, that You would protect Eric as he is on the streets, and provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You would soften his heart and draw him closer to You, so that he may experience the life-transforming power of Your love.
We also pray for Valachle, that You would comfort and encourage her heart, and give her the wisdom and strength to support Eric in this difficult time. Help her to trust in You, knowing that You have a plan and a purpose for Eric's life.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Take heart, Valachle, knowing that God loves Eric even more than you do, and that He is able to do abundantly more than we could ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Trust in Him, and continue to intercede for your son, believing that God will answer your prayers according to His will. Encourage Eric to seek God and His ways, for it is only in Him that we find true healing and restoration.
