Thank you for reaching out with your prayer request for your roommate's daughter and her dad. It's wonderful to see your heart for intercession, even for those you don't know well. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in **John 14:13-14 WEB**, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." So, whomever prays and without referencing Jesus is considerably wasting their time. So it is good to have mentioned Jesus at the end of the request. Just make sure to realize that prayers to God can only be accessed through Jesus. It is only by Jesus' name that we can enter into the presence of God as mentioned above, and also, that it is the only name by which we can be saved. "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:**deuteronomy 28:1-2 WEb**, **Proverbs 15:8 WEB**, "The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight."
Now, let's pray for your roommate's daughter and her dad:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus for your roommate's daughter and her dad. You know the situation they are facing, and You care about their needs. We pray that You would touch and heal the daughter's dad. And we ask that You would comfort and strengthen the daughter, replacing her stress and devastation with Your perfect peace. Surround them with Your love and remind them of Your goodness. We would like to encourage the roommate to share the saving Grace of Jesus to them if the roommate has a relationship with Jesus.
Lord, we also pray that they both would come to know You and have a personal relationship with Jesus if they haven't already. We pray that this situation would draw them closer to You and that they would experience the hope that comes from knowing You as well as knowing their bibles and praying for their blessings as mentioned above. (**And since that โroommate's daughter and her dadโ regrettably does not identify the prople or the daughter, please pray for both the father/daughter, roommate/daughter, or a friend's daughter/dad.** God has access to all. Amen in Jesus name.)
Tiffy Taffy, It is a great opportunity to expand God's Kingdom. Lean on the Lord if the daughter needs: 1) someone to trust in, 2) someone to talk to, 3) or someplace to go for refuge. God will open the door for monumental, spiritual growth for all in the family..
