Dear Lord,
We come to You today on behalf of a heart that is aching. A relationship is faltering, and the pain is real. Your word in Psalm 34:18 reminds us that "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We claim this promise for her today.
She loves her partner dearly, Lord, and she is longing for another chance to mend their relationship. We hold onto Your words in 1 Corinthians 13:7, "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." May this love that she has for him bear this trying time, believe in their potential, hope for their reconciliation, and endure beyond this hardship.
We pray for her partner's heart, that it may be softened and open to giving their relationship another chance. As You've shown us in Proverbs 21:1, "In the LORD's hand the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him." We trust in Your divine guidance to lead their hearts towards reconciliation.
She cherishes not only him, but his daughters who have become a part of their family. She fears losing them as well. We remember Your words in Ephesians 4:2-3, "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." We pray for unity and peace within their blended family.
Father, we humbly ask that this not be the end of their story. We pray that You work in their hearts, reminding them of the love and bond they share. As You've said in Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." We pray for their good, Lord, for their love to be rekindled and their relationship restored.
In Jesus' name, we trust and pray, Amen.
