Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with psychosis. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention and healing. As it is written in 1 Peter 2:24, "who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed." We claim this promise of healing over our friend. Let Your healing power flow through and restore the mind to perfect health.
Father, we also pray for sanity, well-being, and righteousness. Grant our friend the strength and wisdom to always choose good and to resist any form of temptation. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, Your Word says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." May this truth be evident in our friend's life, providing a clear path away from all evil.
Lord, we ask for purity and positivity to fill our friend's heart and mind. As Philippians 4:8 encourages us, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." Help our friend to focus on these virtues and to be surrounded by Your peace and positivity.
We also lift up the request for weight loss and self-care. Help our friend to honor the body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Guide our friend in making healthy choices and provide the discipline needed to achieve these goals.
We trust in Your mighty power and love, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
