We understand your concern for your nephew Dimitris and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention in his life. Let us remember what the apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
First, we commend you for raising this concern, as the use of marijuana, like other intoxicants, can cloud judgment and lead one away from God's path. We should always strive to keep our bodies holy and pure, as they are temples of the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Dimitris. Lord, we ask that You deliver him from the temptation of marijuana and break any bondage it may have over his life. Help him to understand the value of his body as Your temple, and guide him towards a lifestyle that honors and glorifies You. Give him strength and resolve to resist temptation, and surround him with godly influences that will encourage him in his walk with You.
Lord, we also ask that You open his heart to Your love and draw him closer to You. May he experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and grow in the knowledge of Your will for his life.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
