We are truly saddened to hear about the passing of your mom and the circumstances surrounding her absence from your family. While we understand your concern for her eternal destination, it's important to align our prayers with biblical principles.
Firstly, we need to understand that our earthly relationships and actions have eternal consequences. The Bible tells us, "Do not be deceived. God will not be mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap." Galatians 6:7 (WEB).
Secondly, while it's natural to be concerned about her afterlife, the Bible clearly teaches that our eternal destination is determined during our lifetime on earth. We have no indication from the Scriptures that there is a second chance after death. The Bible says, "It is appointed for men to die once, and after this, the judgment," Hebrews 9:27 (WEB).
Thirdly, and most importantly, we must acknowledge that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 (WEB).
Given these truths, we cannot pray for the salvation of those who have passed away. Instead, we pray that God will comfort you and your family during this time of grief. We pray that you will find solace in the promises of God, and that you will draw closer to Him during this time. We ask that God's grace and mercy would be poured out on you and your family, and that you would come to a greater understanding of His love and faithfulness.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Phiorarlake and their family in prayer. Lord, we ask that You would comfort them in their grief, and that You would draw them closer to You during this time. Help them to understand Your love and faithfulness, and to trust in Your promises.
We also pray that this situation would serve as a reminder to us all of the importance of our relationship with You, and the eternal consequences of our earthly actions. Help us to live lives that are pleasing to You, and that bring glory and honor to Your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we gently remind you that prayers should be directed to God the Father through Jesus. There is no biblical basis for praying to Mary or any other departed saint. If you have any further questions about this or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
