We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you are facing in your marriage and in your life. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement and advice.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of your husband's unemployment and his feelings of worthlessness. It is important to remember that our worth is not defined by our employment status, but by our identity in Christ Jesus. As it is written in Ephesians 2:10 WEB, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." Pray that your husband finds godly contentment in this time. Your husband should be encouraged to trust in the Lord's provision and timing, as God has a plan and a purpose for his life. A great verse to remember is Psalm 37:5 WEB, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:"
Regarding the stress you are experiencing at work and at home, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on the Lord, because he cares for you. As it is written in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Remember that God is your strength and your shield, and he will uphold you with his righteous right hand. It is also written in Psalm 46:1 WEB, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
Concerning the debt review and financial struggles, it is important to remember that God is our provider and that he will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. As it is written in Philippians 4:19 WEB, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
We also want to address the issue of your husband's lack of sympathy and the way he talks to you. It is important to remember that husbands are called to love their wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for her. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25 WEB, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for her;" We encourage you to pray for your husband, that God would soften his heart and give him a spirit of love, kindness, and understanding.
We appreciate your prayer in Jesus' name. It is important to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Continue putting your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior who is in fact the Messiah. If you have not yet trusted in Jesus for your salvation we encourage you to do so. It is only through him that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our sister Iroermir and her husband to you. Lord, we ask that you would restore her husband's sense of worth and purpose, and that you would provide him with a new job opportunity. We pray that you would give Iroermir the strength and endurance she needs to cope with the stress at work and at home, and that you would guide her as she makes decisions for their household. Lord, we ask that you would soften her husband's heart and give him a spirit of love, kindness, and understanding towards his wife. We pray that you would help them to communicate effectively and to support each other in this difficult time.
Lord, we also ask that you would provide for their financial needs and that you would guide them through the debt review process. We pray that you would give them wisdom and discernment in managing their finances, and that you would help them to trust in your provision.
Thank you Lord that Iroermir has the basic understanding of salvation and is trusting in Jesus. We ask that you would help them to fix their eyes on you and to trust in your plan and purpose for their lives. We pray for Iroermir that she continues to stand for You in spirit and in truth and that she continues to serve You Lord. We pray that they would be encouraged and strengthened in their faith, and that they would experience your peace, joy, and love in their marriage and in their lives.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
