We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your fiancé, and we will certainly pray for the healing of your soul. However, we must clarify that the Bible teaches that the souls of the departed go to either eternal life with God or eternal separation from Him, and there is no indication that we should pray for the dead. The story of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16:19-31 illustrates the finality of one's eternal destiny upon death.
Regarding your friend Nick, we will pray for his deliverance and peace. It is important to remember that our strength comes from the Lord, and through His might, we can overcome spiritual battles. As it is written in Ephesians 6:10-11 WEB:
"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Fruoton and Nick to Your throne of grace. Lord, we pray for the healing of Fruoton's soul and ask that You comfort them during this difficult time. We also pray for Nick, asking that You strengthen him through Your Holy Spirit and grant him peace. May he be freed from all negative and evil entities, and may Your peace reign in his heart and mind.
Lord, we also pray that Fruoton and Nick would know You and have eternal life in Jesus Christ. It is written in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray they call upon the name of Jesus Christ as saviour and Lord.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage both of you to trust in the Lord and draw near to Him during these trials. Remember the words of James 4:7-8 WEB:
"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
If there is anything that does not align with biblical principles in either of your lives, we urge you to repent and turn to God, trusting in the salvation that is only found in Jesus Christ.
