Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s husband, ###, in prayer. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of addiction that bind him and remove the overwhelming desire for drink from his life. Just as You have delivered many from the grip of sin and addiction, we believe that You can do the same for ###.
Lord, we pray that You fill him with a hunger for Your Word and for the nourishment of food that sustains his body. Replace his laziness with a spirit of diligence and purpose. Your Word says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We ask that You strengthen ### and give him the willpower to overcome these struggles.
Father, we also pray for ###, that You give her the strength, patience, and wisdom to support her husband through this difficult time. Surround their family with Your love and peace, and let Your Holy Spirit guide them towards healing and restoration.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
