We are truly saddened to hear about the distress you and your family are facing due to your husband's actions. Let us first assure you that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We must strongly rebuke the sin of adultery, as it is clearly against God's commandments. As it is written, "You shall not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14, WEB) and "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). It is crucial for your husband to repent and turn away from this sin.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict your husband's heart and lead him back to his family and his responsibilities. We ask God to soften his heart and give him a spirit of repentance, so that he may return and seek forgiveness.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up Gastulthea and her family during this difficult time. We ask that you work in her husband's heart, Lord, and bring him to repentance. We pray that you will restore their marriage and heal the pain and depression that this sin has caused. We ask for your comfort and strength to surround Gastulthea and her family during this trial. Help them to trust in you and your promises, and to forgive as you have forgiven us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Take heart, Gastulthea, for God can restore what is broken. Remember the promise in Joel 2:25 (WEB), "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten." Trust in the Lord, and wait patiently for him (Psalm 37:7, WEB).
