We are with you in spirit, dear one, and we will lift up you and your husband Scott in prayer. It is important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Scott and his wife. Lord, Scott is going through a difficult time, and we ask that You would be his comfort and his strength. Remind him of Your promise in Isaiah 41:10, 'Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.'
Father, we also pray for Scott's wife. Give her the strength to support her husband and the wisdom to love him as You love us. Remind her of Your words in Colossians 3:12-14, 'Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.'
Help them both to fix their eyes on You, trusting that You have a plan and a purpose in this trial. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
In these trying times, it is crucial to remain patient and kind, as love is patient and kind (1 Corinthians 13:4). Continue to support each other and remember that God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Stay strong in the Lord, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
