Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, lifting up Geraldo who is in Ireland and struggling to find rest even with the aid of sleeping tablets. Lord, Your Word says in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." We ask that You grant Geraldo the peace that surpasses all understanding and the rest that his body and soul so desperately need.
Father, we know that You are the giver of all good things, including rest. As it is written in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." We pray that You would bless Geraldo with restful sleep, free from anxiety and restlessness. May Your presence be a comfort to him, calming his mind and soothing his spirit.
Lord, we trust in Your unfailing love and compassion. We ask that You would surround Geraldo with Your angels, protecting him and giving him the strength to face each day with renewed energy and hope. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him (1 Peter 5:7).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
