We join you in lifting up your husband Eric to the Lord, dear sister. Let us align our hearts with God's will and intercede for him together.
Firstly, we acknowledge that the strongholds in Eric's life are not of the flesh, but spiritual. For the Bible tells us, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Therefore, we pray for the Lord to break these strongholds and set Eric free, for if the Son makes him free, he will be free indeed (John 8:36, WEB).
Let us pray for Eric to find peace and direction in God's plan for him. The Lord promises, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). We pray that Eric will trust in the Lord, submit to His will, and seek His face.
Moreover, we pray for Eric to deepen his walk with Christ. The apostle Paul encourages us, "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness" (Colossians 2:6-7, WEB). We pray that Eric will meditate on God's Word, communicate with the Lord in prayer, and live in obedience to His commands, growing more like Christ every day.
In all these things, we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB). We encourage you, dear sister, to keep praying fervently for Eric and to trust that the Lord is at work in his life. Remember the words of James, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16, WEB).
Finally, we leave you with this benediction: "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all" (2 Thessalonians 3:16, WEB). Amen.
