We understand your concern for your friend and we are here to pray and offer counsel based on biblical principles.
Firstly, we are reminded of the scripture in Romans 12:17-19 (WEB), "Donβt repay anyone evil for evil. Consider what is good in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Donβt seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to Godβs wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus, pleading for our friend who is facing a preliminary hearing. Lord, You know the truth and we ask that You reveal this truth to the judge. We pray that the judge will see the change in our friend's life and that justice will be served fairly. Lord, we also lift up the ex who is carrying hate and hurt. We pray for her healing and that she will be released from the bondage of unforgiveness. We ask that both parties will come to know Your love and mercy, and that they will seek peace and reconciliation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
We encourage you to continue praying for both your friend and his ex. Remember, God is the ultimate judge and He sees all things. Trust in His justice and His ability to change hearts.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. Mark 11:25 (WEB) says, "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions." Encourage your friend to forgive his ex, just as we are all forgiven by God through Jesus Christ.
