We understand your concern for your friend ### and we will join you in praying for him. However, we want to encourage you to trust in God's provision and timing, rather than seeking a quick miracle of abundance. Let's remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB):
"Therefore, I tell you, donβt be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isnβt life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they donβt sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Arenβt you of much more value than they?
"Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They donβt toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, wonβt he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
"Therefore donβt be anxious, saying, βWhat will we eat?β, βWhat will we drink?β or, βWith what will we be clothed?β For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first Godβs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore donβt be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each dayβs own evil is sufficient."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our friend ###. Lord, he is in desperate need of Your provision and comfort. He has lost his mother and his cherished horse, and he feels hopeless. We ask that You reveal Yourself to him as Jehovah Jireh, his provider. Help him to trust in You and Your timing. Give him the strength to endure this trial and the peace that surpasses all understanding. We also pray for ###, that You would comfort them and give them wisdom as they support their friend. Help them both to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that You will provide all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage both you and ### to meditate on God's word and trust in His promises. Remember, our hope is in Jesus Christ, who loves us and cares for us. If ### or yourself have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and His promises.
