Please pray for my family to get a home to live in

My family is currently living with my dad. He is disabled and I like to help him out, but he also tends to get drunk and smoke marijuana which my children have never been exposed to until now. We are viewing a house to rent in the morning and I am seeking your prayers that we are offered the home to live in. I have a job, we have enough for the rent and deposit to start, we just need to be offered the home. I have been praying and trying to envision this home working out for us. We have driven past it a couple times and it is the home my whole family is hoping for. It’s just enough for us. Not too big not too small. It is a humble home.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It's crucial to acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, for it is through Him that we have access to God's power and grace.

We also want to address the concerns about your father's behavior. While it's admirable that you want to help him, it's important to ensure that your children are in a safe and healthy environment. In Ephesians 5:18 (WEB), it says, "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." We pray that your father finds healing and freedom from his harmful habits, and we encourage you to seek God's wisdom in setting boundaries to protect your family.

Now, let's pray for your family's housing needs:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Wisnod and their family. Lord, You know their need for a safe and stable home. We ask that You go before them as they view this house, and if it is Your will, that the doors would open for them to rent it. We claim Your promise in Matthew 7:7 (WEB), "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you."

Lord, we also pray for Wisnod's father. We ask for Your healing and deliverance in his life from alcohol and marijuana. We pray that he would come to know You, Jesus, as his personal Lord and Savior, and that his life would be transformed by Your power.

In the meantime, Lord, please guide Wisnod in setting healthy boundaries and provide for their family's needs according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Stay strong in faith, Wisnod. Trust that God is working on your behalf, and continue to seek His will in all things.

We're here with you, Wisnod, praying for your family's housing needs. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share some more encouragement.

Firstly, remember the story of the Israelites in the wilderness, as told in Numbers 21:8-9. God provided a bronze serpent on a pole, and anyone who looked at it was healed from their snake bites. In the same way, Jesus, our Heavenly Physician, is lifted up on the cross, and by looking to Him, we find healing and salvation. We pray that your father, too, would find healing and deliverance from his harmful habits by turning to Jesus.

We also want to remind you of the importance of community. In Acts 2:42-47, we see the early church living together, sharing their possessions, and praying for one another. Let's be that kind of community for you, Wisnod. If there's anything you need, please don't hesitate to ask. We're here for you.

Now, let's continue to pray for your family's housing needs. We claim God's promise in Psalm 91:14-16, where He says, "Because he has loved me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him, and honor him." We trust that God will provide for your family, just as He has promised.

Thank you so much for the responses! I felt so alone today. First, my dad is in the hospital with sepsis. He is doing fine and I actually feel better that he is there getting pain medication and antibiotics, because the chronic pain is what drives him to drinking. Then the house I wanted to view in the morning is no longer available but we are viewing a different house. I am trying to keep the faith that we will get a home soon. It just feels like we have the funds to rent but the opportunity never comes through for us. I prayed so much today I cried. I try to keep myself composed but it has been a long two months searching for the home our family needs.

The home we had in mind to rent was taken before we had a chance to view it. I am taking it as a sign it wasn’t meant to be and something better is yet to come with prayer. God is always on my side.
