We understand your concern for your daughter and her family. Let us bring this before the Lord together, seeking His provision and guidance.
Firstly, we want to remind you of Jesus' words in Matthew 7:7-8 (WEB), "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks it will be opened." We can approach God confidently with our needs.
However, we also want to encourage your daughter and her husband to seek God's will for their lives. While it is important to receive help in times of need, it is also crucial to trust God for provision and not rely solely on state assistance. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (WEB), it is written, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither should he eat.'" We encourage her husband to diligently seek work and trust that God will open doors for him.
Let us pray:
"Father, we lift up to You our sister's daughter and her family. Lord, they are in need of food and provision, and we ask that You meet their needs according to Your riches in glory. We pray for favor as she applies for state assistance, but more importantly, we pray that her husband finds gainful employment. Give him the strength and determination to seek work diligently. Help them to trust in You, Lord, and not rely solely on human aid.
We also pray that they fix their hearts on You and seek Your will for their lives. May this trial bring them closer to You and strengthen their faith. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, amen."
Lastly, we want to ensure that you have put your trust in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God and can be saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not yet believed in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so today.
