We are truly sorry to hear about your father's illness and the challenges your family is facing. In times like these, we turn to God for comfort, strength, and guidance. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Firstly, we will pray for your father's healing and for your family's peace and wisdom. However, we must also address the concern that your father is not taking his medication properly and is speaking negatively about his life. It is important to remember that our lives are precious to God, as seen in Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB), "For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
We rebuke any thoughts or words that speak death instead of life. Ephesians 4:29 (WEB) tells us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." We encourage you to speak life and hope to your father, and we pray that he will receive it.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up LADreamer's father to you. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon him, that You would ease his shaking and give him strength. We pray for wisdom for his doctors and family as they care for him. Lord, we also ask that You would change his heart, that he would not speak death but life, and that he would take his medication properly. Please give LADreamer and her family peace, patience, and wisdom as they support their father. Lord, we believe that You are the Great Physician, and we trust that Your will be done in his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God and to remember that He is with you and your family during this difficult time. Isaiah 41:10 (WEB) says, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."
