Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Jonathan to you. We ask for your divine intervention in his life as he battles with a gambling addiction. Lord, we know that addiction can be a powerful stronghold, but we believe in the power of your saving grace to set him free.
Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We pray that you would strengthen Jonathan, giving him the courage and determination to overcome this addiction. Fill him with your Holy Spirit, guiding him away from temptation and leading him towards a life of freedom and victory.
Lord, we also ask for your provision of strength and resilience as Jonathan faces the trials and challenges in his life. Your Word assures us in James 1:2-4, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." May Jonathan find comfort and hope in knowing that through these trials, he can grow in faith and become more like Christ.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your unwavering love and mercy. We trust in your faithfulness to answer according to your perfect will. May Jonathan experience your transforming power and find freedom from his addiction. Surround him with a supportive community that will encourage and uplift him on this journey.

If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
