We understand your concern for your brother George and we join you in bringing his situation before the throne of grace.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We should not be anxious about George's unemployment, but rather bring it to God in prayer.
Let us pray:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up George. He has been unemployed for over a year and a half, and we ask that You would provide him with a job that suits his skills as a programmer. We know that age is not a barrier for You, Lord, and we ask that You would open doors for him despite the challenges in the technology sector. In Jesus' name, we ask for Your divine intervention and provision. Encourage George's heart, Lord, and help him to trust in You. Amen."
We also encourage George to trust in the Lord's timing and provision. Psalm 37:25 (WEB) says, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." God has not forsaken George, and He will provide in His own time and way.
Lastly, we want to encourage George to seek the Lord during this time. Job searching can be challenging and discouraging, but it can also be an opportunity to draw closer to God. As it is written in James 4:8 (WEB), "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
We will continue to pray for George, that God would provide for his needs and encourage his heart.
