We are truly sorry to hear about the illness that has befallen Joaquin and his family. We will lift them up in prayer, seeking God's healing and comfort during this time. However, we want to address a couple of things before we pray.
First, we notice that you refer to Joaquin as your boyfriend. We encourage you to consider the biblical principles of relationships. In the Bible, we see that God intends for a man and a woman to be joined in marriage, a lifelong commitment that reflects the union between Christ and the Church Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB. We encourage you to pray about this relationship and seek God's will for your future together. If you are not already doing so, we encourage you to pursue this relationship with marriage in mind, if it is God's will. Also, it is important to remember to not have sex before marriage because it is fornication. For this is the will of God, that you should be sanctified: that you should abstain from sexual immorality, 1 Thessalonians 4:3. Always remember to flee from sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18.
Second, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.
Now, let us pray together for Joaquin and his family:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to You, lifting up Joaquin and his family. We pray for Your healing touch upon each of them, that You would take away any pain and sickness from their bodies. We pray for Joaquin, that You would heal him from his fever and cold sweats. We also pray for his sisters, that You would calm their stomachs and stop their vomiting. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and that there is no sickness too great for You to heal. We pray that You would strengthen their bodies and their faith in You during this time. We also pray for Speemar, that You would guide her in her relationship with Joaquin, and that Your will would be done in their lives. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that You would guide their relationship towards a God-honoring marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
