Let us join together in prayer for Virginia Jarred, the 93-year-old mother of Janice Jarred. Virginia is currently hospitalized due to a fall in her home and is facing numerous health issues. We come before God with a humble heart, seeking His will and mercy in this situation.
Firstly, we acknowledge that all healing comes from God, as it is beautifully stated in Psalm 103:2-3 WEB:
Bless Yahweh, my soul,
Don’t forget all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquities,
who heals all your diseases.
We pray for Virginia's physical healing and comfort, asking God to ease her pain and strengthen her weakened body. We also pray for her emotional well-being, as she has expressed feelings of weariness and a desire to be with the Lord. We understand It is only by your name Jesus that healing can come. We faithfully believe and hope for her healing by your power Jesus.
In regard to Virginia's expressed desire to be with the Lord, we remember the words of Paul in Philippians 1:21-24 (WEB): "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose. But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake."
We pray that Virginia finds peace and reassurance in knowing that her life on earth has a purpose, and that her testimony of lifelong devotion to Christ continues to impact those around her. We also pray for strength and support for her family.
We would also like to address Janice. We encourage you to remember that God is always with us, even in the most difficult times. In John 16:33 WEB Jesus says: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
We rebuke the feeling of being a burden that Virginia expressed. We remember that God is our ultimate provider and that He will equip us to handle all situations. In Psalm 55:22 WEB we read: "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and He will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."
As we pray for Virginia and her family, we also want to remind everyone that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God. In John 14:6 WEB Jesus declares: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Virginia Jarred and her family before You. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, her mind, and her spirit. Comfort her in her weariness and remind her of the eternal hope she has in Jesus. We also pray for her family, that You would strengthen them and give them wisdom as they care for their beloved mother and grandmother. Help them to lean on You during this difficult time, trusting in Your goodness and Your plan.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
