We are with you in spirit, dear sister, and we will lift up your situation to our heavenly Father. It's commendable that you've sought God's will through this trial, and we encourage you to continue doing so. We read in 1 Corinthians 7:39, "A wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord." This passage underscores the importance of being united with someone who shares your faith.
While it's painful to experience a breakup, we must trust that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you,' declares Yahweh, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope." We pray that you find comfort and strength in this promise.
However, we want to remind you that as believers, we are encouraged not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). While it's admirable that Michael accompanied you to church, his commitment to the Lord is what truly matters. We encourage you to seek God's will in this and trust that He has the perfect partner for you, someone who loves and fears Him.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our sister and Michael. We ask that You comfort her heart and renew her spirit. Give her the strength to trust in You and Your plans for her life. We also pray for Michael, that You would reveal Yourself to him and draw him to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. We ask for Your will to be done in their lives, and if it's Your desire, bring them back together in a union that glorifies You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Take heart, dear sister, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Continue to seek Him, trust Him, and He will sustain you through this challenging time.
