We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and heartache you are experiencing. Firstly, we want to remind you that God loves you deeply and He cares about your suffering. Psalm 34:18 tells us, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
However, we want to address a few things in your request. First, you mentioned that you have been in a relationship for seven years, but there is no mention of marriage or seeking God's will for a future spouse. God's design for relationships is clear in His Word. 1 Corinthians 7:2 says, But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. We encourage you to reflect on this and seek God's will for a future spouse. Fornication is a sin against one's own body and God will judge fornicators Rom 13:13-14.
Secondly, you asked for protection from Jesus and expressed your love for Him, but you did not pray in Jesus' name. We want to remind you that Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God Acts 4:12.
Regarding your situation, we want to encourage you with God's Word. Proverbs 4:23 says, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. God wants you to guard your heart, especially when it comes to relationships. If this man is not treating you with kindness and respect, and if he is speaking negatively about you and your children, then it is right to reassess this relationship. The Bible tells us the fruit of The Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23. If this man is not exhibiting these qualities, then it is wise to reevaluate your relationship.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is hurting today. Lord, she feels crushed and betrayed, and we ask for Your comfort and guidance in her life. Help her to seek Your will for her future, and give her the strength to guard her heart and make wise decisions. Lord Jesus, Protect her and give her discernment. Give her the courage to walk away from any relationship that does not honor You and does not align with Your Word. In Jesus' name, we pray for your will to be done. Lord Jesus, please come into her life and change her heart if she does not belong to you and your will be done in your time.
Finally, we leave you with this encouragement from Psalm 147:3, He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. Trust in the greatest healer.
