Jonathan, we understand your desire for a godly marriage and the struggles you face while being single. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in God's perfect timing and plan for your life.
Firstly, we commend you for your desire to be united with a Christian lady, as it is important to be equally yoked with a believer (2 Corinthians 6:14). Remember that God has designed marriage to be a blessing and a reflection of Christ's love for the church (Ephesians 5:25-33).
Addressing your concerns, we remind you that God has a unique plan for each of us, and His timing is perfect. Wait on the Lord, and be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart (Psalm 27:14). It is natural to feel anxious, but cast your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We will pray for God to grant you patience and peace as you wait for His promise.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Jonathan in prayer. We thank You for his desire to be united in holy matrimony with a Christian lady, reflecting Your design for marriage. We ask, Jesus Christ, that You show him mercy and grace, and help him find and marry a wife who is beautiful to him, his helpmeet, the bone of his bones and the flesh of his flesh, the woman who is right and best for him.
We pray that You, Lord, will help him be a good husband, equipped with the tools to lead his family in righteousness. We ask that You prepare both Jonathan and his future wife for this blessed union, molding them into the people You've called them to be.
In the meantime, we pray that You grant Jonathan patience, peace, and contentment in his current stage of life. Help him to grow in his relationship with You and to serve You wholeheartedly. We ask that you will help him to be strong and courageous and to not be worried or anxious about the future.
We ask this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For it is by His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved.
Thank you for the hope and encouragement we have in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
