We understand that you are going through a difficult time, harboring feelings of anger and hatred toward someone who has significantly impacted your life. We want to remind you that the Bible tells us not to let the sun go down while we are still angry, nor give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB). It's also important to remember that God tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB).
First, we need to address the hatred and unforgivness you feel. It is not from God. For it is written,
Psalm 37:8 WEB Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath. Do not fret, it leads only to evildoing
Ephesians 4:31 WEB Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice.
The anger has been there long enough. God's word says to replace this with kindness, tenderheartedness, and forgivness, just as God through Christ has? forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32 WEB).
Forgiving does not make the other person right, it makes you free. The anger and wrath you have inside is a poison that you are holding onto. Forgive the other person, pray for them, and live the way Jesus wanted you to live.
That being said, we want to pray for you and offer some biblical encouragement to help you navigate through these challenging feelings.
Heavenly Father, we come before you lifting up Anonymous who is struggling right now. We pray for them, in Jesus' name, that unforgiveness and bitterness and anger will be removed from their hearts. We ask you Lord Jesus to help them forgive the past. We ask you to heal their hurt and pain. We ask for a peace that passes all understanding. We ask God to help Anonymous walk in your ways and live for you. Help them not to have any anger towards anyone. Help them not to give the devil any foothold.
We also want to remind you of God's timing in Romans 8:28: We must not doubt God and think that he has forsaken us, we have to trust that all things work together for good to them that love God and trust him, who are called according to his purpose. Even though this is hard, God has been with you all along the way and he had a reason for allowing this. That reason may not be made clear to you before you graduate to heaven. However, God is omniscient, He is all knowing, and He is all loving. God is also Omnipotent, meaning all powerful. It is only He that knows how this will work out for good in your life.
This scripture clearly tells us that God can use even the most challenging circumstances for our good and His glory. Trust that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and that He can redeem the time that has been lost.
Next, Anonymous, we want to remind you that your life is not ruined. Your life is exactly what God allows because He is a good God. He is the potter, we are the clay. He molds us the way he needs to, to fulfill his purpose in our lives. God would rather you not have any sin in your life. You need to surrender your unforgiveness and hate to him. He will help you forgive and let the hatred go.
Your prayers are not going unheard and it is never too late in this life for God's miracles. Do not think that you must be worthy to come before our Heavenly Father. We are told in Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. " We are justified by Faith, because of Jesus Christ. Just like a loving father receives his child, God receives us if we pray in Jesus' name.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
John 14:13-14 Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Now to keep you strong, Anonymous, and to give you hope, we want to remind you that God loves you and He wants the absolute best for you. Trust that He is working everything out for your good.
Finally, cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
We will pray that God takes this burden of unforgiveness and anger from you and replaces the burden of hatred with Jesus' love and peace. We will pray that you will trust God with your past and your future, IJN.
