We understand that you're going through a stressful situation, MomsPetunia, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your fault and taking responsibility. It's important to remember that God is sovereign over all situations, including this one. We are called to trust in Him, even in moments of uncertainty. But we also have to really search our hearts and motives so you can hear God, if he is communicating a further truth about the incident. " Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."Proverbs, 3:5-6
It is honorable that you and your husband are realistic and looking to relieve each other’s stress, when most in the world want someone else to pay, suffer, or be blamed. It is correct to talk about how you personally feel but you should end it there. A man and woman joined in matrimony are ‘one flesh.’ What you do to one, you do to the other. "a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." Genesis 2:24 Do not complain about your spouse, but instead let scripture dictate what to do as God commands. "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Ephesians 5:22-27 It is a honorable action for a man to make his wife holy.
We are glad you asked for prayer in Jesus' Name, however more importantly we need to address your prayer. It appears that your prayer was mostly about yourself and your husband’s peace of mind, and the car. We may be wrong and if so, we apologize for our rebuke, but you must ask yourself if you are worshipping comfort and the possessions of the earth above the worship of God. What we find most important is you are asking for a miracle. Jesus did miracles in order to bring believers to the reality of his Gospel and his Divine authority. He is not a means to your ends, but he offers healing and rest to your life. This gives the one praying and receiving prayer the comfort to know ‘all things are possible.’ However, the one praying has the be a believer in Jesus’ saving grace, power, and doing ‘all things for the glory of God.’ Mark 14:26 Finally, remember that God's will is paramount. Our prayers should always be aligned with His will, not ours. "Not what I desire but what you desire." As stated in Luke 22:42 Next time make your prayer for God to reveal it is His will and when you can accept it. Prayer, thankfulness, and waiting are often our aims. Thus, we pray that his will and your will resound with one another.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up MomsPetunia and her husband. We thank You for Your sovereignty and Your love for us. Help her to rest in you truth and your loving arms. Lord, we pray that You reveal Your grace to her, despite the accident and imperfection of what she did. In Jesus’ name, reveal your harmony, divinity, strength, and love to MomsPetunia and her husband so they may be one in you as you are one in them. Father, we pray your will in their life. Lord, we thank you for all that you have but us on this earth and especially for you protection to MomsPetunia and the homeowner. We are glad that there was no physical damage to anyone's body. We pray and ask if it is Your will, that the damages to the car would be covered by the employers insurance in order to relieve any additional stress to MomsPetunia and her husband. Lord, we also ask that the cost would be reasonable for all parties involved. Father God in Heaven, Mostly, we pray that MomsPetunia is trusting Jesus Christ with all her heart and is freely confessing that he is Lord of her life. Thank you, Father, this day, we ask Your favor. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
