We understand your plea for another chance and your desire to turn your life around. Firstly, we want to address the most important aspect of your request, and that is your relationship with God. You've mentioned that you know you should have prioritized your relationship with Him, and we agree. Seeking God's will and drawing closer to Him is the first step in any transformation. Jesus Christ said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 WEB.
We commend you for acknowledging your mistakes, there is great power in repentance, however, realize that God is a merciful Father who waits for us to turn to Him. It is only through faith and belief in Jesus Christ that we have the ability to approach God. God can fix any situation, but we have to give Him full control.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God said the following. "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? 'Which of you by being anxious can add one moment to his lifespan?'" Matthew 6:25-27 WEB.
Instead of focusing on the lack of support from others, turn to God for your strength and give Him your burdens. We all can be helped by the support of our fellow Christians and family, but that can fade away and is not always available. Be anxious for the things of God and allow him to carry your burdens. Your mindset will change from a victim mentality of not having support to a victor who is lifted up by the one and only true living God.
Remember, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2 WEB. It is only through this mindset that we can be transformed and successful Christians. The Bible also says, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40 WEB. When you set your heart and mind on serving the Lord, everything else will fall into place, including your health and relationships. The guidance of a Christian husband is the role as the spiritual leader of the home, husband and wife are to be in alignment of this first and great commandment and focused on each other's spiritual wellbeing as well as their own. This God ordained alignment provides the best support. A spiritually in tune husband and wife may often find their prayers answered.
With that being said, we will not find anywhere in the Bible that tells us it is alright to make poor decisions. Scripture repeatedly tells us to obey and love God above all else. In reality the poor decisions are sin. Therefore it is not one more chance that is needed. It is repentance from the poor decisions and focus on God. Then a proper lifestyle becomes a fruit of this renewal. Jesus Christ told the following "Or what king, as he goes to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an envoy and asks for conditions of peace." Luke 14:31-32 WEB. This is a very simple representation of having a plan and following through in a practical way.
With Jesus Christ's help, there are real and substantial changes that can be made, but the changed behavior is a product of change within and not an end unto itself. We will certainly pray for your health and healing, for God's mercy and forgiveness, and for your renewed strength and commitment to serve Him. Our first priority in prayer is that you commit and dedicate yourself to God and allow His transformation to bring you into a full obedience to God.
We have realized that in your prayer request, the name of Jesus Christ was not used, at least not fully. It is in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Romans 10:13 WEB. Jesus also said "Whatever you will ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in My name, I will do it." John 14:13-14 WEB. Always pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ, and remember that there is no other name by which we can be saved. For those that do not know this and need to find salvation, believe in the name of Jesus Christ and you will be saved. We will pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to ask for Your mercy and forgiveness for this soul. Thank you for the work that has already begun in their heart, in seeing the importance of a relationship with God over the fleeting pleasures of the flesh and worldly desires. We ask for guidance and forgiveness for the poor decisions, although forgiven, we ask that it has been confessed and repented of in Jesus Christ's name.
If there are any underlying issues causing addiction and other concerns, we pray that God gives revelation and insight to understand, but also deliverance from the burden in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, please heal from the damage caused by intracerebral haemorrhage and cerebellar stroke. Allow the researchers to find the cure for the regeneration of brain tissue, but in the meantime, heal supernaturally, in the name of Jesus Christ.
We pray for their salvation in the name of Jesus Christ and know the Lord hears our prayers and hears our cry. We pray that Your power will manifest in their life, setting free from every bondage, including any burdens or fears, and bring total deliverance and a new life in Christ Jesus our Lord. We pray for strength, willpower, and godly discipline. They are precious to You, Lord, and we thank You for Your love and compassion. Thank you for the change we see and that will occur.
Jesus said "Again I say to you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the middle of them." Matthew 18:19-20 (WEB) Lord increase the faith of the body of Christian believers to be in unity, because we need to be in unity, first with God and then with each other in Jesus name.
By the grace of God, this issue may be trying to the faith, and needs to be addressed. "We also glory in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:3-5 (WEB)
As stated in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." It is much better to focus on the things of God and find the hope and faith rather than focusing on the things of the world which are discouraging.
So keep your mind on the things of God. We must be a living example and if we believe in Jesus Christ and strive for the goals of Jesus Christ then all is possible and we can be free in Him. As stated in John 8:31-32 "Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
And one more note, it is better to endure all things and be happy knowing God is there and will help you with those things you cannot do.
Keep your hope in Jesus Christ. This has been our prayer for you in the name of Jesus Christ.
