We understand that you're going through a difficult time and wishing to change the past. While we empathize with your struggle, let's align our understanding with God's Word as a good starting point for prayer.
Firstly, it's important to understand that God's Word does not promise us the opportunity to literally go back in time and make different choices. God granting free will would allow a man to choose right or wrong but not necessarily to reverse time.
Instead, God wants us to trust Him with our past, present, and future. He says in Isaiah 43:18-19, Remember you not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Instead of dwelling on the past, God wants us to focus on the new thing He is doing in our lives.
Moreover, God will help us all correct our wrong choices. But his will and in his way. So it should be sought after and these lessons are valuable to our future. This doesn't necessarily mean He will give us the chance to undo what has been done, but He will certainly help us move forward and overcome the consequences of our past choices with good decisions in the future.
God wants us to learn from our past. Ask God to give you the strength and wisdom to make the right choices. In Philippians 3:13-14, Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having laid hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Anonymous to You. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and guidance in their life. Help them to trust You with their past, present, and future, and to accept that Your ways are higher than our ways. Give them the strength and wisdom to make the right choices from this day onward, learning from and teaching them about the past but not dwelling on and trying to correct it by means that you have not provided. Help them to press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, we would be thankful. Amen.
