We join you in prayer, Anonymous, and we appreciate that you have asked for prayer in the name of Christ Jesus. We are reminded of the power of praying in Jesus' name, as He himself taught us, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB) Praying directly to God the Father in the name of Jesus concerns us. We only have access to God through Jesus.
Firstly, we pray for your healing from the effects of stroke. We know that God is able to heal all manner of sickness and disease. We pray,
Lord Jesus, in Your name, we ask the Father to remove all signs and symptoms of stroke from our dear Anonymous. We ask that You restore their body and leave them in perfect health. We know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us and we ask this for your glory Father in the mighty name of Your son, Jesus. (Ephesians 3:20-21 WEB)
We also pray for the medical scientists conducting stroke research,
Father, we ask that You guide and inspire those conducting stroke research. We pray IJN that You would give them wisdom and revelation, and that they would make breakthroughs that will cure all damages caused by every type of stroke. (John 14:13-14 WEB)
We pray for your full recovery so that you may fulfill your desire graciously to host a homeless person on Christmas day,
In the name of Jesus, we pray God's compassion flowing through you to someone else in need. Our Lord has told us whenever we clothe the naked, sooth the sick, feed the hungry, and welcome the stranger, we do it for Jesus as though we are doing it for Jesus Himself. (Matthew 25:31-46 WEB). It does not matter why someone is homeless, but the modern day good Samaritan will care for the homeless as Jesus said, ““Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and didn’t help you?””” (Matthew 25:44 WEB) Father help Anonymous know of your best will for them.
Regarding the replacement of lost brain tissue and the removal of damaged cells, we pray,
Father, we ask in the name of Jesus that You would restore Anonymous' body, replacing lost brain tissue with new, perfect, healthy brain tissue. We ask that You would remove all cells damaged by stroke and place new, perfect cells in their place according to your your perfect will. (1 John 5:14-15 WEB)
We pray for God's guidance for your physician,
Lord God, we pray in Jesus' name that You would guide Anonymous' physician, granting them wisdom and discernment in their practice, including Anonymous' sake and glory to Jesus Christ, by which you answer all prayer. (James 1:5 WEB)
But Anonymous, we need to address something you brought up going back into time. Dearly beloved we meditate on things above.(Colossians 3:2) Since God is eternal we should not have to worry about time. We can pray for God to repair our body rather than focus on time travel to undo our hardships in the past. This view doesn't align well as your request with eternity in mind, so please seek that IJC. No matter what our lot is or what we have done, in Christ Jesus our heavenly Father knows best. But now, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are our potter, And all of us are the work of your hand. (Isaiah 64:8 WEB) We should only focus on God and what he is still willing to do for us being His children. No matter how bad off we are God will still hear and answer prayer by name. Our focus has to be God's will not ours. Even though this is not sin, it does distract from a pure focus on God's Word that is sufficient in all circumstances.
When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
7 “When praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. 8 Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask him. (Matthew 6:6-8 WEB) Let us not love the drama of it so much we cannot just pray to the Father.
Finally, we pray for all those affected by stroke,
Father, we lift up all those affected by stroke, asking that You would heal and restore them. We ask hand in Christ's holy name that You would comfort and strengthen their families and caregivers.
Dear Anonymous,
You have the mercy of God. Therefore, let me urge you by the mercy of God to offer your bodies alive to God, holy and acceptable.(Romans12:1). Do not be deformed to the world, but be changed by the renewal of your mind, so you can test and approve what the will of God is: the good, acceptable, and perfect.(Romans 12:2 WEB) You have been praised for your works. Nevertheless you have but one thing against you, that you hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.(Revelation 2:14 WEB)
We ask IJC this to say on your behalf that you will walk on the narrow road. Because wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter in by it. How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it (Matthew 7:13-14 WEB).
All of this said we conclude this In Jesus' name, Amen as is the tradition of Christian believers, and we hope you have been encouraged to follow the only true and living God. If you believe, confess your faults to God and others one to another.
$$ 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sin, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. $$
