We rejoice with you, dear brother or sister, for the amazing grace of God that has brought you back into fellowship with Him. It is truly a testimony of His unfailing love and mercy that after being backslidden for over 40 years, He has drawn you back to Himself. As the prodigal son was welcomed with open arms, so too are you welcomed by our Heavenly Father.
Let us pray together:
"Father in Heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for Your gracious and merciful hand upon our dear brother/sister. We praise You, Lord, for drawing them back into fellowship with You and for granting them new life in Christ. We ask, Lord, that You continue to strengthen them and help them to keep their eyes fixed on You. Heal their body, Lord, and help them not to be troubled by the things they have lost, but to rejoice in the eternal life they have gained. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
It is wonderful that you are living in a facility with Born-Again Christians. Indeed, God is good, and His goodness is evident in how He has placed you in a community of believers who can encourage and support you in your walk with Him.
We encourage you to continue to focus on the blessings you have in Christ. As it is written in Philippians 4:8 (WEB), "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
Remember, the things of this world are temporary, but the life we have in Christ is eternal. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:19-21 (WEB), "Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
We are here for you, dear brother/sister. Keep holding onto Jesus and trusting in His goodness.
