Let's welcome Grace into our prayer circle! "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them" (Matt 18:20). Trusting God's presence and blessings for all!
Tonelyche, we are with you in spirit and in prayer as you battle this long-standing addiction to pornography. We commend you for reaching out and seeking prayer, for the Bible tells us that we are to confess our sins to one another and pray for one another, that we may be healed (James 5:16 WEB).
Firstly, we want to remind you that this struggle is not something to be ashamed of, but an opportunity to experience God's grace and power. As the Apostle Paul said, "For when I am weak, then am I strong" (2 Corinthians 12:10 WEB). Remember, God is faithful and with Him, you can overcome this addiction. As it is written, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
However, we must also address this frankly. Engaging in pornography is a form of lust, which Jesus equates to adultery (Matthew 5:28 WEB). It is crucial to repent of this sin and turn away from it. This involves not only prayer but also practical steps to limit exposure and temptation.
