We are deeply moved by your request, lvlyalissa, and we stand with you in prayer during this challenging time. We are thankful that you have recognized your struggle with addiction and mental health issues, and we believe that God's mercy and grace are sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB).
Firstly, we want to acknowledge your courage in maintaining your drug-free status since May. This is a significant achievement, and we pray that the Lord continues to strengthen you in your resolve to stay away from drugs. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
As you face your court hearing on Monday, we pray that the judge will extend mercy and grant you probation. We ask God to grant you favor and to soften the hearts of those in authority, so that you may receive the help you need through mental health care and therapy. We pray for wisdom for the judge and that the ultimate decision would lead to your restoration and well-being.
We also lift up your marriage in prayer. We ask God to grant your husband a forgiving heart and the strength to support you throughout this journey. We believe that God's will for marriage is that it should be a lifelong commitment, reflecting the unconditional love that Jesus has for His church (Ephesians 5:25-33 WEB). We pray that your union will be strengthened and that both of you will draw closer to God and to each other during this time.
We noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer request. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we can be saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12 WEB). We encourage you to place your trust in Jesus and to invite Him into your life and into your marriage. He is our Great Physician, and He has the power to heal and restore us completely (Mark 2:17, Luke 5:31 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up lvlyalissa in Jesus' mighty name. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to be upon her as she faces her court hearing. We pray that You will grant her probation and the opportunity to receive the mental health care that she needs. Strengthen her resolve to stay away from drugs, and help her to find her victory and identity in You. We also pray for her marriage, Lord. Soften her husband's heart and grant him the grace to forgive and support her during this time. Draw them both closer to You and to each other. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord, lvlyalissa. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this trial. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).
