We understand the deep longing and pain in your heart, and we stand with you in prayer. However, we must align our prayers and desires with God's will and His Word.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB).
However, we must gently remind you that God's answers are not always in the affirmative. Sometimes, His silence or His "no" is a protection or a redirection. As it is written, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB)
We also need to address the issue of the affair. We rebuke the spirit of adultery and pray for conviction of sin for both Paul and JS. It is written, "You shall not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14, WEB) We pray that they may repent and turn from their sin, as God's kindness leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4, WEB).
Instead of focusing on having Paul back, we pray that God's will be done in your life and in Paul's. We pray that God will heal your heart and fill you with His peace and joy, regardless of the outcome. We pray that you will grow in faith, patience, and understanding, knowing that God has a purpose and a plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister in her time of need. Lord, we ask for Your healing and comfort. Help her to align her will with Yours, and give her the strength and grace to endure this trial. We rebuke the spirit of adultery and pray for conviction and repentance for Paul and JS. May Your will be done in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek Godly counsel and support from your local church community during this time.
